Although seaweed offers a variety of health benefits for the body, you should eat these foods in moderation, especially for people who have hyperthyroidism (excess thyroid gland). The reason is, the high iodine content in seaweed will further stimulate the thyroid gland in the body.
Not only that, seaweed also absorbs all kinds of minerals in the sea. It is possible for these plants to absorb arsenic and chemical waste content that is polluted in the sea. That is why, if consumed in excess, it will not be good for the health of the body.
