What is CTM for?
CTM, which is also called chlorpheniramine or chlorphenamine maleate, is a medication to reduce allergy symptoms.
The following conditions can be treated with this drug:

Concomitant use with emergency anaphylactic shock treatment can use 10-20 mg IM, SC, or IV injection slowly over 1 minute. Max dose: 40 mg daily (intravenous, injection).

The usual dosage for children is:
Allergic conditions
1-2 years: 1 mg 2 times a day,
2-5 years: 1 mg every 4-6 hours,
6-11 years: 2 mg every 4-6 hours (Max: 16 mg daily)
12 years or older: 4 mg every 4-6 hours (Max: 32mg / day) (tablets)
Concomitant use with emergency anaphylactic shock treatment
Child: 87.5 mcg / kg SC 4 times a day (injection)

- tell your doctor if you have or have ever had asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, or any other type of lung disease. glaucoma (a condition in which increased pressure in the eye can lead to gradual loss of vision); boils; diabetes; difficulty urinating (due to an enlarged prostate gland); heart disease; high blood pressure; seizures; or an overactive thyroid gland
- tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while using chlorphenamine, call your doctor
- if you are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell your doctor or dentist about using chlorphenamine
- You should know that this drug can make you drowsy. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until you know how this drug affects you
- ask your doctor for instructions on how to use alcohol safely while you are taking chlorphenamine. Alcohol can make the side effects of chlorphenamine worse
