• guava leaves
• turmeric
• mojokeling
• pomegranate skin

This anti-diarrheal drug works by slowing down the activity of the colon so that the intestines will absorb more water and the stool will become denser. Stomach pain which is a symptom of diarrhea can also be relieved with this medicine.

Diarrhea can generally be treated with lots of drinking and without special treatment. But anti-diarrheal drugs can also be used to reduce the frequency of experienced bowel movements.

What are the rules for using Diapet?

Use this medicine in accordance with the rules for taking the medicine listed on the package. If you have any doubts, ask your doctor.

This Diapet drug can be consumed before or after meals. It is important for patients to keep drinking plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration during diarrhea.

If diarrhea does not get better for 48 hours, contact your doctor immediately because this medicine should not be taken for more than two days. Do not use this medication for more than the recommended dose, for less, for longer than recommended.

Tetracycline antibiotics should also not be used at the same time as this drug. These anti-diarrheal drugs can affect the body's absorption of these antibiotics.

• Diapet Anak Syrup (10 ml and 60 ml)
• Diapet NR (4 capsules)

Especially for Diapet NR, there are additional ingredients, namely activated carbon and attapulgite to help absorb toxins.

What is the dosage of Diapet for adults?

The following is the recommended dosage for adults:

• The dose of Diapet to treat diarrhea in adults is two times a day, 2 capsules.
• The dose of Diapet to treat acute diarrhea in adults is 2 capsules, every one hour.

What is the diapet dose for children?

The following is the recommended dosage for children:

• The dose of Diapet to treat diarrhea in children is two times a day, 2 capsules.
• The dose of Diapet to treat acute diarrhea in children is 2 capsules, every hour.

Side effects

What are the possible Diapet side effects?

Like the use of other medicines, the use of Diapet can cause some side effects. Most of the following side effects are rare and do not require additional treatment.

However, it is important that you consult your doctor if you have any problems after taking this medicine.

Side effects commonly experienced by patients while using this drug include:

• constipation
• bloated
• stomach ache
• nausea

Do not rule out this drug can trigger an allergic reaction. Immediately stop using this drug and contact your doctor if there is a severe allergic reaction (anaphylactic), with symptoms such as:

Overdose

What are the symptoms of an overdose of Diapet and what are the effects?

Here are the symptoms of an overdose that you need to be aware of:

• nausea

• dizzy
• lost balance
• numbness and tingling
