What are the danger signs of the 3rd trimester of pregnancy?
1. Bleeding
Bleeding that occurs during pregnancy has many different meanings. If you experience this condition in the 3rd trimester, the possible cause is due to placental abruption and placenta previa. Placental abruption is a medical condition characterized when part or all of the placenta detaches from the uterine wall before delivery.
Meanwhile, placenta previa occurs when part or all of the placenta covers part or all of the cervix (cervix). Both of these conditions will cause vaginal bleeding. We recommend that you consult your obstetrician immediately because this can be a danger sign of pregnancy in the 3rd trimester.
2. Contractions at the beginning of the third trimester
One of the distinctive signs before childbirth is the onset of contractions which are then accompanied by a widening of the cervix. But be careful, sometimes contractions can also be felt when gestational age has just entered the beginning of the 3rd trimester.
These conditions are known as false contractions (Braxton-Hicks contractions) and prodromal labor contractions. The two types of contractions both have not led to actual labor, but of course there is a sense of discomfort, especially when the intensity of the contractions gets stronger.
If your pregnancy has started or is in the final trimester, and feels like contractions appear, but are not accompanied by other signs of labor, do not delay to consult a doctor.

It's common for you to experience sudden headaches or stomach aches in the last trimester of pregnancy. Fatigue and lack of rest may be the main causes. However, don't underestimate it when headaches, stomachaches, shortness of breath, visual disturbances occur, so that several limbs easily bruise and swell at the same time.
The reason is, this series of symptoms can refer to the condition of preeclampsia, which is a dangerous pregnancy complication. Preeclampsia can make blood pressure increase rapidly, accompanied by damage to organs in the body.
