What is Bodrex used for?

Bodrex is a medicine to treat headaches, fevers and flu. In general, each caplet contains paracetamol and caffeine.

In addition to headaches, Bodrex also has other types, namely for colds and coughs. Bodrex flu and cough have additional ingredients, namely phenylephrine HCl, glyceryl guaiacolate, and dextromethorphan.

Long-term use of Bodrex can cause liver function damage and hypersensitivity reactions.

What should be known before using Bodrex?

There are several things that you should consider when using Bodrex to treat headaches, flu, or fever, namely:

Excess consumption of paracetamol in Bodrex during pregnancy also has the potential to cause the death of cells that make up the fetal liver.

Drug Interactions

What foods and drinks should not be consumed while using Bodrex?

Certain drugs should not be used with meals or when eating certain foods because drug interactions can occur.

Consuming alcohol or tobacco with certain drugs can also cause interactions to occur. Discuss your use of drugs with food, alcohol, or tobacco with your doctor.

According to a journal from NPS MedicineWise, if you drink a fair amount of alcohol every day and you drink paracetamol at the same time, it's not a potential problem.

However, if you have a problem with alcohol abuse or dependence, you are advised to take paracetamol under a doctor's supervision.
