What Drug Imidapril?

What is imidapril for?

Imidapril is commonly used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). This drug belongs to a class of cardiovascular drugs called angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACE inhibitors). Imidapril prevents the formation of angiotensin II. A decrease in the amount of angiotensin II will cause a decrease in blood pressure.
Imidapril can also be used to relieve diabetic nephropathy in patients with diabetes.

How to use imidapril?

Initial dose: 5 mg once a day. The initial dose should be given at bedtime. Maintenance dose: 10 mg daily. Max: 20 mg / day.
