What is the function of Anakinra?
Anakinra is a medicine to treat rheumatoid arthritis (rheumatism). This medication helps slow joint damage and reduce joint pain from rheumatoid arthritis so that you can move more easily.
Anakinra is a processed form of natural protein (interleukin-1 receptor antagonist) that is produced by the body. This medication also helps block the effects of another protein (interleukin-1) that can cause joint pain / swelling / stiffness.
Anakinra is also used to treat a condition called Neonatal-Onset Multisystem Inflammatory Disease (NOMID), by treating symptoms such as fever, rash, joint pain, vomiting and headaches.
How to use Anakinra?
There are several things you should pay attention to when using this drug, namely:
If you inject yourself
- Pay attention to the correct way of injecting from the doctor and what to prepare.
- Injected into the skin, usually once or as directed by a doctor.

- If you are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell your doctor if you are using anakinra.
- Do not get vaccinated (measles or flu shot) without informing your doctor.
