Did you know that it turns out that in some ways men can "detect" a woman who is sexually aroused? What "detects" means here is knowing that the woman around them is being aroused by their smell. How can this condition occur?
Men can "detect" a woman who is aroused by smell
Most people probably have their own way of knowing whether their partner is in the mood to make love or in other words excited.
However, according to research from the University of Kent in the UK, there is one way men can find out whether a woman is aroused or not, namely through smell.
Sounds absurd, but in fact it is. In fact, humans can communicate and detect emotions, such as feelings of sadness or fear, through scents. In addition, sexual arousal is also included in the physical emotional state.
In research published by the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior there are three experiments conducted.
In each trial, a group of men were asked to try to detect whether a woman was aroused or not through a sweat sample. The sweat samples came from women whose sexual arousal was high and not aroused at all.
As a result, most men thought that the aroused scent of women was more attractive to them. The scent even increased the arousal of the men.
From these studies, it can be seen that the aroma that appears in certain situations is needed by two people. This aims to make them more aware of sexual relations between each other.
According to the chairman of the University of Kent research team, dr. Arnaud Wisman, the man who participated in this study showed that his sense of smell was more sensitive. This sensitivity also applies to signs of sexual arousal from women.
The signals emitted by women are generated together with the visual and auditory expressions of what the woman feels and sees. Then, the results of these signals turned out to increase sexual arousal for men who feel attracted.
In fact, chemical signals from human emotions can be detected and unconsciously act upon when their emotions are stimulated. Whether it's sexual stimulation, disgust, or empathy that other people can smell.
However, further research is still needed to see the function of the sense of smell on a person's sexual arousal in human communication.
Signs that a woman is aroused
Research from men that can detect whether a woman is aroused or not may be able to help couples who are about to have sex. That way, there is good communication between the two and there is no coercion from either party.
The smell of women's sweat may be one of the determining factors whether they are excited or not. However, it turns out that there are many other signs that women feel when they are aroused, such as:
- pulse and heart rate accelerate
- blood pressure goes up
- dilated blood vessels, including blood vessels to the genitals
- the vagina and vulva become wet
- parts of the vulva, such as the lips of the vagina and clitoris, are swollen due to the blood supply
- breasts feel full and erect on the nipples
Although some of the above may not be visible to the naked eye, at least it can be seen from a woman's physique.
Meanwhile, when women's sexual arousal increases, it is usually more difficult for them to concentrate. This may be because sexual stimulation activates changes in the brain and encourages gender-focused brain activity.
However, further research is still needed to understand how the brain works when a woman is aroused, both during sex and not.
Detecting whether a woman is aroused or not through the smell that a man inhales may be a determinant of a man's sense of smell sensitivity.
