What is the drug Rimexolone for?

What are the rules for using Rimexolone?

Unless according to your doctor's instructions, do not use contact lenses while you are using this medicine. Sterilize contact lenses according to the manufacturer's instructions and check with your doctor before you start using them again.

If your doctor does not allow contact lenses during treatment with this medicine, remove contact lenses before using eye drops. The preservative in this product can be absorbed by contact lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes after each dose before using contact lenses again.

To use eye drops, wash your hands first. Shake the bottle before using. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip or make contact with eyes or other surfaces.

Tilt your head up, look up and pull the lower lids of your eyes. Lift the drop just above your eye and put 1 drop. Look down and slowly close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Place 1 finger on the tip of the eye (near the nose) and press gently. This will prevent the medication from leaving the eye. Try not to blink and rub your eyes. Repeat these steps for the other eye and if the dose is more than 1 drop.

Use this medication according to doctor's instructions. Do not wash the drops. Put the cap back on after each use.

If you are using other types of eye medication (such as eye drops or ointments), wait at least 5 - 10 minutes before using any other medication. Use the drops before the eye ointment to allow the drops to get into the eye.

What is the dosage of Rimexolone for adults?

Dosage for Postoperative Ocular Inflammation: 1-2 drops in the eye which requires 4 times a day starting 24 hours after surgery and continued for up to 2 weeks.

Adult dose for Uveitis: 1-2 drops in the eye every hour during the wake time for the first week, then 1 drop every 2 hours during the second week of awakening time, then reduce according to clinical response until uveitis resolves.

What is the dosage of Rimexolone for children?

Side effects

What side effects may occur due to Rimexolone?
