In a press conference on Thursday (4/6), the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan announced that several sectors had started operating. What is the health protocol?

The easing of the Jakarta PSBB has begun

This June will mark the beginning of the PSBB transition. The DKI Jakarta government decided to extend the PSBB but by relaxing several sectors so that they could start their activities.

The implementation of the PSBB easing is carried out by considering three indicators, namely the growth of cases, public health, and the adequacy of health facilities. The three indicators are claimed to have met the criteria to be able to relax the restrictions that have been implemented.

"In general, the Jakarta area is green and yellow, but there are still red zones. Because of that we still have the status of PSBB but on the other hand we have started to make a transition, ”said DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

Some of the activities that were allowed to be carried out in the first phase of the Jakarta PSBB easing are as participants.

The first week starts from Friday (5/6) to Sunday (7/6), those that have received permission to reopen are houses of worship, sports centers. outdoor, and the movement of people by means of transportation.

Private transportation has been permitted and filled with full passengers on condition that they are on one family card. Public vehicles such as taxis on line and conventional has also been allowed on the condition that the number of passengers is 50%. Ojek is good on line and conventional ones will only be allowed to operate in the second week.

The second week is on Monday (8/6) to Sunday (14/6). During this period, the DKI Jakarta government allows workplaces and business premises to resume activities, except for markets, recreational parks, shopping centers such as malls (for non-food / food items).

Socio-cultural activities such as museums and libraries were also opened. As for parks, Child Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA), and beaches can be opened on this second weekend.

In this second week, ojek on line and conventional has also been allowed to carry passengers which of course must comply with the protocol that has been made.

The third week starts Monday (15/6) to Sunday (21/6). At this time, markets, shopping centers such as malls (non-food / food) can already be opened.

"So, the principle is this is a sector that began to open during the transition period, but with 50 percent capacity and maintaining a safe distance," explained Anies in his press conference.

Protocols to be followed during easing

Along with the opening of the center of the crowd, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan also announced several protocols for the implementation of PSBB easing in the DKI Jakarta area.

1. Protocol in public transportation

Public vehicles have started operating provided that the passenger content is only 50 percent of the total vehicle capacity. This applies to all public transportation including MRT, KRL Commuter line, Transjakarta buses, and taxis. For passenger queues, a distance of 1 meter will be made.

This protocol was created to avoid the risk of transmission in public transportation. Anies also said that the spraying of disinfectants at public transportation facilities will be carried out routinely according to health protocols.

2. Protocol at work

The workplace has been allowed to resume activities with a proportion of half of the total number of employees, while the other half are required to continue working from home.

"Every office or business must divide employees' working hours into at least two different time groups," said Anies.

4. Protocols in shopping malls, retails, markets

In principle, this shopping center protocol is similar, namely controlling the number of visitors to a maximum of 50 percent of the venue capacity. Before entering the shopping center, visitors must check their body temperature. They are also advised to make transactions onlinecashless (non-cash).

Even so, it was not explained how the monitoring of visitor capacity was carried out when the PSBB easing (transition period) was implemented.

5. Protocol in restaurants and cafes

During the transitional period of the Jakarta PSBB easing, restaurants, cafes and restaurants have been allowed to accept visitors to eat on the spot.

The condition is to limit visitor capacity to a maximum of 50 percent and maintain a safe distance. Food presentation is also requireda la carte (order per menu) and it is prohibited to serve in a buffet.

6. Protocol in places of worship

Houses of worship are allowed to operate at a maximum of 50 percent of their room capacity and maintain a safe distance between individuals. Houses of worship do not use rugs or carpets and congregants are required to bring their own prayer mats and equipment.

Anies Baswedan said that the progress of the Jakarta PSBB easing transition period would be monitored. If there is a disturbed safety indicator, the government will activate it emergency brake (emergency brake) to evaluate and re-tighten the PSBB.
