Jentadueto What medicine?
What is Jentadueto?
Jentadueto is an oral drug intended for diabetes patients. Consumption of Jentadueto coupled with a diet and exercise program can help control blood sugar in adult patients with type two diabetes. This medicine is not intended for the treatment of patients who have type one diabetes. Blood sugar control can help prevent the risk of kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, amputations, or problems with sexual function. Proper blood sugar control also helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.
Jentadueto is an oral drug made from a combination of two drug components, namely linagliptin and metformin. Linagliptin in Jentadueto works by increasing the body's natural substance called incretin. This incretin will later encourage the release of insulin into the blood, especially after eating to help control blood sugar.
Type two diabetics who experience insulin resistance have problems in their body responding to insulin, which results in disruption of the process of breaking down sugar from carbohydrates. The metformin in Jentadueto works by restoring your body's response to insulin, so that the metabolic process can run as it should. Metformin also lowers blood sugar levels by reducing the amount of sugar absorbed by the intestines during digestion so that glucose does not return to the bloodstream. The linagliptin and metformin contained in Jentadueto also play a role in lowering the amount of sugar produced by your liver.
