What is Entrostop used for?

• Adults and children over 12 years: 2 tablets after each bowel movement, maximum 12 tablets / 24 hours.

What is the dose of Entrostop for children?

Children 6 to 12 years of age: 1 tablet after each bowel movement, maximum 6 tablets / 24 hours.

Alternatively, give Children Entrostop in the form of syrup, at a dose of 1 sachet 3 times a day.

In what dosages and preparations is Entrostop available?

This drug is available in tablet form. Each tablet contains activated colloidal attapulgite (650 grams) and pectin (50 grams).

For children, there is a variant of Entrostop Anak in the form of 10 ml sachet syrup. Each sachet contains guava leaves and tea leaf extract.

Side effects

What are the possible side effects of Entrostop?

Each drug must have side effects, as well as this drug. The most common side effect of anti-diarrheal medications is constipation or difficulty passing regular bowel movements.

3. Lovastatin

Lovastatin is used to help lower cholesterol. The pectin content can decrease the absorption of lovastatin and decrease the effectiveness of lovastatin.

To avoid the drug interactions above, give a break between 2 and 4 hours of consumption.

What foods and drinks should not be consumed while using Entrostop?

Certain drugs should not be used when eating certain foods because drug-food interactions can occur.

Smoking tobacco or consuming alcohol with certain drugs can also cause interactions to occur.

Discuss your use of drugs with food, alcohol, or tobacco with your health care provider.

Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking red grapefruit juice while using the medicine unless your doctor allows it.
