How is cyclopentolate used?
This medication is usually used in the eyes 40 to 50 minutes before surgery or as directed by your doctor. The dosage may need to be repeated in 5 to 10 minutes. This medicine is for use in the eye only. Don't drink or inject it.
To use eye drops, wash your hands first. To avoid contamination, do not touch the tip of the dropper or let it touch your eye or other surface. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using the eye drops. Ask your doctor when you can start wearing contact lenses again. If you are using other eye medications (for example, drops or ointments), ask your doctor when you should start using them again.
