What is the function of Selsun?

Selsun is a shampoo that is used to relieve itching and exfoliate the scalp and restore dry and scaly particles that are often referred to as dandruff (inflammation of the scalp due to excessive oil secretion).

Selsun contains the active ingredient selenium sulfide, which is often used to treat scalp problems, such as dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis.

This drug is also used to treat tinea versicolor and fungal infections of the skin. This medication is also sometimes prescribed for other uses. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

Selsun is available in two types, namely Selsun Blue and Selsun Yellow. The difference between the Blue and Yellow Selsun types is in the selenium sulfide content.

How do you use Selsun?

For use of Selsun Shampoo:

• Selsun Shampoo can change the color of gold, silver or other metal jewelry, therefore it is important to remove all jewelry before using shampoo.
• Massage shampoo into wet scalp. Leave it to stay on the scalp for two to three minutes. Rinse the scalp thoroughly. Repeat application and rinse thoroughly. After using shampoo, wash your hands well. For best results, use it at least twice a week or as directed by your doctor.
• Read the product label for details.

For use of Selsun Conditioner:

• After washing your hair with Selsun shampoo, apply Selsun Conditioner to the hair.
• Avoid contact of Selsun Conditioner with the scalp.
• Massage your hair for a few minutes then rinse it off with water

How to store this shampoo?

Selsun, both Blue and Yellow, are best stored at room temperature, away from direct light and damp places. Don't keep it in the bathroom. Don't freeze it.

Do not flush Selsun down the toilet or down the drain unless instructed to do so. Discard this product when it has expired or when it is no longer needed.

What should I pay attention to before using Selsun?
