1. Small intestine point 18 (SI18)
The SI18 point is the acupressure point most widely used for pain relief from toothaches, swollen gums, and cavities. This point is located at the bottom of both cheekbones, just below the tips of your eyes, and in line with the bottom of your nose.
To activate the SI18 point, press both of them using your index and middle finger for one minute. While pressing this point, take a deep breath and exhale slowly.
2.Tummy point 6 (ST6)
ST6 points are usually used to reduce pain in the mouth or due to diseases related to teeth. Try to attach your upper and lower teeth, this point is the protrusion that is located midway between the tip of your lip and the bottom of your earlobe.
To treat toothache, press this acupressure point with your thumb for one minute. Then, repeat several times as needed or until the pain subsides. Don't forget to take deep breaths while pressing this point.
3. Gallbladder point (GB21)
Gallbladder dots are often used to treat pain in the head, face, and neck. Launch UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, the pressure at the point of GB21 is also useful for dealing with various complaints in the shoulders and neck.
Contrary to its name, the GB21 dot is not located near the gallbladder. This point is located in the middle of the shoulder slightly back. Pinch the center of your shoulder with your thumb and index finger, then massage the point using your middle finger for 4-5 seconds.
4. Colon point 4 (LI4)
This acupressure point is alleged to be able to relieve inflammation so that toothaches gradually disappear. Pressure on the LI4 point is also useful for reducing stress, headaches, and pain in the area above your neck.
You can find the point LI4 by placing your thumbs on the index finger joints. This point is located where your thumb and forefinger meet. To relieve toothache, press this point gently and massage for 4-5 seconds while inhaling.
5. Belly point 36 (ST36)
The ST36 point is often used to relieve toothache, nausea, stress, and fatigue. You can find the ST36 point by placing your palms on the kneecaps. This point is located on the little finger.
To reduce toothache, apply gentle pressure on this acupressure point. Then, massage the point with your fingers. The direction of the massage down towards the outside of the shin.
Acupressure is quite useful for relieving excruciating toothache. Simply by pressing a few points on the body, you can relieve pain in the teeth, gums, and mouth even if only temporarily.
